• A review of the Irish wholesale electricity market arrangements to accommodate substantial quantities of renewable generation
• Working for the regulatory authorities in Ireland and Northern Ireland  on the design and implementation of the Single Wholesale electricity Market on the island of Ireland
• Provision of ad-hoc advice to Ofgem on a number of areas including: revision of the associated financial incentives on the GB system operator; and advice on the prospective treatment of transmission losses
• Assisting National Grid with the preparation of connection agreements, principally for wind generation connecting to the GB Transmission System and distribution systems

• Designing and implementing the British Electricity Trading and Transmission Arrangements on behalf of Ofgem
• Advice to Ofgem on the impact of the New Electricity Trading Arrangements on smaller generators and possible measures that could be applied to assist small generators under NETA
• Advice to Ofgem on the development of the New Electricity Trading Arrangements in England and Wales
• Advice to a major exchange on electricity market developments
• Development and negotiation of a series of schemes to provide incentives to the system operator for the efficient management of the transmission system in England & Wales
• Several projects in the US to look at market design arrangements and the development of open access transmission arrangements and Regional Transmission Organisations
• Development and implementation of markets for ancillary services
• The technical and project management of several large capital EPC projects, onshore and offshore, in the upstream oil and gas and gas storage industries in Europe and Africa.
